Dane rips, we all know that, but check out the board he’s ripping on in this video. I doubt this board would be surf-able for any surfer who wasn’t in the Top 32 (and a few of them might have trouble!) but he makes it look easy.
He’s a one-off and because he’s not a fan of surfing competitions then we don’t get to see him too much outside of a few videos that he releases every now and then. Good news though, he’s got a wild card in the Quik Pro on the Gold Coast, Australia this March. It’ll be worth staying up all night just to get to watch his heats – I bet he surfs a ‘normal’ (for him anyway) board when it comes down to competition surfing.
Can’t wait.
